The ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS’ ASSOCIATION OF MAHARASHTRA (ECAM), is the largest and the oldest association of ‘the persons devoted to provide all type of services about electrical installations and allied faculties.’ To safeguard the interests of these entrepreneurs commonly known as Electrical Contractor it was founded in 1925 with its Head Office in Mumbai, ECAM now has more than 2500 members across Maharashtra and the three regional centers viz. at Pune, Nashik and Ahmednagar.
The ECAM, Pune Region founded in 1984 ,celebrated its Silver Jubilee from 14th October, 2008-14th October, 2009.ECAM has exemplary record of service to the electrical industry in general and to the electrical contracting fraternity in particular.
ECAM has representation on The Licensing Board, PWD – Maharashtra and on the malpractice committee too. ECAM also has representation on the electro technical committee which lays down The Indian Standards. In addition to this, ECAM is in constant interaction with various licensees such as MSEDCL ,MSETCL , MSEGCL etc. in state . We firmly believe that the consumer is our reason to serve.
To practice our belief meaningfully ECAM conducts seminars, workshops and tutorials to keep the fraternity abreast of the ‘knowledge and advances’ in the field of electricity, and ultimately to transpire the same in achieving the goal of serving the people and the nation. The prime aim and object of the association is “to promote, enhance and perfect the professional qualities and thereby protect the interests of the electrical engineering practicing community, by undertaking all direct and indirect activities in gross .”
